Sculptra in Denver, CO

Sculptra Denver

Your
Younger Look

If you’re considering dermal fillers for wrinkles and loss of youthful facial volume, but want results that last longer, Sculptra may be the right choice. Sculptra is a cosmetic injectable that contains a unique ingredient called PLLA that stimulates your own collagen.

It provides a natural-looking facial enhancement with no downtime. Sculptra cost in Denver, Colorado is also more affordable than facial rejuvenation surgery — perfect for women and men that want to look younger and refreshed without going under the knife.

What can’t Sculptra do?

Sculptra is not suitable for lip augmentation or eye area. For cosmetic aging concerns of the lips and eyes, we offer best-in-class dermal fillers, such as Restylane and Juvederm. At Rejuvenate medspa in Denver, we also offer wrinkle relaxers, including Botox, and Dysport, along with skin rejuvenation treatments like laser, chemical peels, AquaGold, microneedling, body contouring, and much more.

What is
Sculptra used for?

Sculptra Aesthetic adds volume nearly anywhere you need it. While traditional dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane should also be considered, Sculptra can provide 2+ years of long-lasting correction for:

  • Hollow cheeks
  • Hollow temples
  • Nasolabial folds (smiles lines around the mouth)
  • Marionette lines (“puppet lines” on the sides of the chin)

What is Sculptra made of?

Unlike traditional fillers made with hyaluronic acid, the key ingredient in Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). This biocompatible substance not only plumps the skin similar to other dermal fillers but has the added benefit of boosting collagen production in the skin for youthful fullness.

How long does Sculptra last?

Sculptra results can last for up to 2 years. In most cases, patients can expect to see results that last two years or more, although the duration of results may vary. For Denver sculptra patients seeking long-term correction of facial aging concerns without the downtime and cost associated with cosmetic surgery, Sculptra is a very appealing option.

It also is one of the most long-lasting FDA-approved dermal fillers on the market, lasting longer than other popular hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane, for example. However, not everyone wishes to commit to the long-term results of Sculptra. If you are new to cosmetic injectables or want to get a sense of the natural-looking results we promise at Rejuvenate medspas in Denver, we may suggest starting with traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that don’t last as long.

Is Sculptra FDA approved?

Yes. Sculptra was FDA approved on August 3, 2004. It was first approved to correct facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in patients with the human immunodeficiency virus. Per the FDA, it is also indicated for use to correct shallow to deep smile lines around the mouth (nasolabial folds) and other facial wrinkles.

Is PLLA
safe?

Sculptra is FDA cleared and has undergone strict clinical testing to prove both safety and efficacy. In fact, the same biocompatible synthetic ingredient in Sculptra has even been used in dissolvable stitches for years.

Dissolving stitches are broken down and absorbed by the body over time, which eliminates the need for stitch removal after surgery. This goes to show that PLLA is safe for most people. Now, this same great ingredient has been reformulated in cosmetic injectable form for a natural-looking facial enhancement.

Who is a good
candidate for Sculptra injections?

Sculptra may be suitable for patients with facial volume loss and wrinkles that make them look older than they would like. Per the FDA, Sculptra should be avoided by patients that are known to develop keloid scars or hypertrophic scarring. If you have a history of poor scar healing, please let your provider at Rejuvenate medspa know during your consultation so that we may select the best skin rejuvenation treatments for you.

Denver Sculptra

How many Sculptra treatments are needed?

Each patient’s skin is different. Our facial injectors will be glad to perform a skin analysis to determine the right number of Sculptra treatments for you. A series of 3 injection treatments are recommended, depending on the particular skin condition you’d like to improve. Treatments are spaced anywhere from 8-10 weeks apart. This schedule may be modified based on what your provider at Rejuvenate thinks is best for you as an individual. Allowing time between each session allows time for collagen to rebuild in the skin, thanks to the PLLA in Sculptra.
