Sculptra Aesthetic Rejuvenate MedSpa Denver

What is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra is an injectable filler made out of Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA). This filler stands out because it’s not just a filler. Sculptra is actually a biostimulator, which helps to stimulate the body’s own natural collagen production, resulting in more volume, fewer fine lines, and a glowing complexion.

What can you expect when you get a treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic?

How long do results take to show?

Sculptra does not give an immediate result like HA fillers do. The biostimulator is injected into your dermis and takes time to begin creating intentional cellular damage to the skin and stimulate collagen production. The skin begins an anti-aging process starting with the first session. Over the course of an average of 3 sessions, you will begin to have noticeable results.

Each Sculptra treatment session is spaced over the span of 4-6 weeks, and each session stimulates more collagen and volume. As you receive treatments and your skin begins to generate new collagen, you will notice more volume in your skin as well as improvement in hydration and texture.

After achieving your desired volume and correction from your Sculptra treatments, results will last for about two years! If you’d like to maintain your results, you can receive one treatment session per year of less product.

What are the risks?

Like every injectable treatment, there are some risks associated with receiving Sculptra. Some of the most common side effects that occur after your first treatment include:

Additionally, small lumps underneath the skin can sometimes be noticeable if you press on the treated area. Larger lumps have also been reported with delayed onset. These can occur with or without skin discoloration or inflammation.

Finding an experienced provider

When you’re looking for a provider to perform your treatment, it is highly important that you select an experienced provider with a good reputation. At our Denver Medical spa, Rejuvenate MedSpa, we have five experienced injectors who perform Sculptra treatments on nearly a daily basis. Two of our injectors are also Sculptra trainers who consistently train other injectors nationwide. In addition, our practice is backed by nationally renowned board-certified plastic surgeons.

When you are searching for a provider to do your Sculptra treatment, there are a few things to look for to make sure your injector is well qualified to perform your treatment:

Sculptra’s FDA approval

Sculptra is indicated and approved by the FDA for use in people with healthy immune systems for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles. This includes the submalar and preauricular area, jawline, chin, nasolabial folds (laugh lines), marionette lines, and chin.

Sculptra in the Body

Along with improving facial features, Sculptra can also improve the appearance and fullness of the skin on other parts of the body. Although it is not yet FDA approved for use on the body, Sculptra is frequently used for many procedures, not including the face. Butt-enhancement procedures are a very common practice in many Med Spas and Cosmetic Surgery facilities. At Rejuvenate, we do not perform the Sculptra butt lift in our office due to higher risk factors and the large amount of product that needs to be used to achieve a patient’s aesthetic goal. Sculptra is also frequently used to enhance the appearance of the decollete, arms, and above the knees.
